· Also, our Sunday school mission project for this year is Help for Haiti. Our Sunday school offerings collected from February 21 to March 28 will be sent to the WELS Committee on Relief and designated for Haiti. There is a display in the church lobby with pictures and more information on work that is being done and future opportunities for help in Haiti.

Please join us Wednesday evenings at 7 PM for our Lenten worship services.  The services will be preceded by a supper beginning at 5:30 PM. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy some great fellowship and delicious food. A free will offering will be accepted.

Members please prayerfully complete your commitment card and place it in the offering plate or you may return your card by mail. If you didn’t receive a card, there are more available in the narthex. If you have any questions or concerns about the commitment cards, please speak to Kim C., our Discipleship Director, or one of the pastors. May God bless you as you consider his gifts to you, and your gifts to him!

Volunteer for Christian Life Ministries

If you have a heart to listen, encourage and mentor pregnant women and new moms, this is the opportunity for service you’ve been looking for! Learn approaches for addressing life decisions women face with unplanned pregnancy and post-abortion challenges. Get practical support tools to help welcome the new baby. The Life Volunteer Rally is Saturday, April 10th (9 AM to 2 PM) at the office in Little Canada. Free lunch and orientation materials will be provided. Call Christian Life Ministries at 651-649-3538 for more information and/or to register.

Can You Help?

This coming April the Twin Cities area WELS churches are hosting the MN District Pastors' Conference. The Conference will be held at the Crowne Plaza in Brooklyn Center. It has been the tradition that pastors bring their families along to this conference. This gives the wives a chance to meet for fellowship, encouragement, and especially time to grow together in God's Word. Many families also bring their children along, and that's where your help is needed. The mornings of Tuesday, April 13, and Wednesday, April 14, we are looking for volunteers willing to provide childcare while the wives meet for Bible class and speakers. There will be a separate room for the children, as well as some activities set aside for them during this time. If this is something that you would be willing and able to help with, please contact Sarah B. for more details.

DEADLINE IS APPROACHING  for the North Heights production of The Thorn.  We need a count no later than TODAY, March 7.  This play tells the story of the Passion as seen through the eyes of the Apostle John.  It is a wonderful production including music, dancing, live animals and incredible staging effects.  While we all know the passion story, it is very moving to see it reenacted.  This is open to MEN and WOMEN of the congregation.  We have reserved 50 seats at a price of $17.10/person.  Checks can be made payable to Ladies Guild and placed in box E13.  The date is Saturday, March 27 at 4:30 pm.  If you are interested, please sign up ASAP on the sheet located on the bulletin board to the left of the mailboxes.  Hope you can join us!

Looking for Volunteers!!

Cross of Christ will be hosting the opening service of the annual MN District Pastors Conference on Monday, April 12.  Prior to the service, we will be providing a meal for the members and their wives (approx 200 people).  We are looking for people to help with setup, meal prep, serving, or cleanup.  If you would be interested in any of these, please contact LuAnn O. We need as many hands as possible - men and women!

Consider Attending A Bible Study…

Ø Tuesday Morning Bible Study is held each Tuesday morning from 6:30-7:30 AM. We are just starting a new Bible study, “Why do faithful people suffer? Job wanted to know.” So he demanded an answer from God. His friends thought he was crazy, but Job persisted. This study of the Book of Job is for anyone who has struggled with these perennial questions and wants to ask God, “Why?”  Start your day studying God’s Word with your fellow Christians. We welcome your presence at anytime.

Ø Mom’s Bible Study meet twice a month on Tuesdays from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in room 129 (Fireside room). ALL moms are welcome! Come and bring your children.

Ø Thursday Ladies Bible Study

ALL ladies of the congregation are invited to attend the Thursday Ladies Bible study which meets every Thursday morning at 9:00 AM in the conference room. If you have any questions contact Laurie E.
